At My Neighbourhood, we’re all about community and supporting our local businesses. 

Remember those good old days when everyone walked and shopped locally, Leith still has this amazing range of shops and cafes, many of which are independently and locally owned.

We all shop online as well now, everyone understands that it doesn’t mean though that we can’t be shopping on local businesses websites rather than the big one, and everyone knows their name! 

The Leith community is already a fantastic neighbourhood to live in, by buying locally and supporting those businesses in our community we can create and even better Neighbourhood to live in by ourselves and with families. 

Have you thought what difference spending only 20% of your disposable income would make to the Leith community we are all living in. Not just for local business owners but for the people working for them and the increase in services and products we would see. 

No one expects everyone to spend all their money locally, but imagine the increase in business, employment and the new services, activities, and cafes etc we would have. We could pay a fair wage for everyone, take for instance a couple of the bigger cafes sitting in Leith, we love the staff, they are local, let’s have more of them at better pay, which still making profits for the owner and putting money into the community.

Locally we can provide the same services that our larger national and international companies take into our community, while taking our money out of the community. This is not a political campaign it’s grassroots, love your community, change and grow your community together. 

Where are we based, well where else, it must be Leith too! so we have personal skin in the game. 🙂

How are we doing this, firstly we are creating an A4 Advertising Leaflet: 

Onfoot traffic

We’re putting together an awesome A4 advertising leaflet just for our area. It’s going out to 10,000 local households, mainly around EH6. We want to show off all the amazing businesses that make Leith special. And guess what? You can get your business seen too! We’re offering advertising spaces for just £150 each. It’s a great way to get your name out there and attract new customers.

Our website is dedicated to supporting local businesses. If you’re looking to expand your customer base in Leith, this is going to be a game-changer. We are developing a website over the first few months of the advertising leaflet that we showcase the amazing amount of resources we have in the community 

We’re passionate about seeing our neighbourhood thrive, and we believe we can create a community that actively supports businesses and each other.
